Azure consumers leverage VM Scale Sets instances to increase the performance and resiliency of applications. However, it is challenging to calculate the costs of VM SS instances since Azure doesn’t provide resource IDs for those in billing files. Cloudaware calculates a VM Scale Set instance cost by leveraging a custom formula to divide Azure VM Scale Set cost by SKU capacity.
