SolarWinds is an observability and IT management platform. This guide explains how to add SolarWinds integration to Cloudaware.

Prerequisites

  1. Ensure that SWIS REST API endpoints are set up on a SolarWinds server.

  2. Configure the TunHub gateway before SolarWinds integration is added to Cloudaware.

Add SolarWinds server

 

  1. Log in to Cloudaware account → Admin.

  2. Find SolarWinds in the list of cloud integrations. Click +Add.

  3. Fill out the form:

    WHERE
    URL - insert the TunHub route* URL (e.g. https://tunhub.cloudaware.com:12345)
    Username - insert the username
    Password - insert the password

Set up route ports as 17774 (for SolarWinds v. 2024.4) or 17778 (for SolarWinds versions before 2024.4) in TunHub.

Click Save.

  1. The green light in 'Status' means that SolarWinds integration has been successfully configured. If there is a red light, please contact support@cloudaware.com

  2. To view SolarWinds-related data, go to Cloudaware CMDB Navigator. Select SOLARWINDS in the menu on the left:

Cloudaware supports the following SolarWinds objects:

SolarWinds NPM Interface
SolarWinds Node
SolarWinds Platform Server
